Finally home from our BIG trip
Well, this month we went on a fairly large trip. I will try to be brief in my timeline of events. We left on Thursday January 10th and came home on Saturday the 26th. We flew to Phoenix, AZ but ended up taking a few road trips while we were there. Ryan's mom and step dad live in Sun City and so we wanted to go down there for a visit since we haven't been there for two years. Luckily Ryan's mom comes up here often. In fact they were up most of December. It is nice to go down there also. They were kind of our home base and we were able to use their extra car for our road trips. That really made it all possible. So....We flew into Phoenix on Thursday evening. Friday morning we got up and started our first road trip to Henderson, NV to visit the Christiansens. We stayed there until Tuesday the 15th. That day we stopped at the Hoover Dam and then we were able to stop in Kingman to visit G&G Andy and Linda. We got back to Sun City (Phoenix) just in time for dinner. The next day (Wednesday) Ryan couldn't golf (so sad) so I took the day to go shopping all by myself. That is truly a wonderful thing. Thrurday (17th) we started our second road trip to Tucson to visit G&G Boyd and Sharon. We stayed there until Sunday (20th). The last week we stayed with Ryan's mom. Ryan golfed a few more rounds that week and we went to the zoo, park and played put put golf. The girls and I just relaxed also. Aren't you supposed to do that on vacation? On Wednesday (23rd) we were able to meet up with Jake and Tara Miller (from Optometry school) and go out to dinner and catch up a bit. We were both lucky enough to have babysitters. Well, that is our vacation in a nut shell. I have followed this post with various pictures (hopefully in timeline order). It was a really great vacation and we were able to see so many people. Thank you to all who let us crash at their homes!
