NO MORE PINE NEEDLES!!!

We HAD these four big fir trees (100ft) in the front corner of our yard. I have never liked them and have always hated the pine needles and pinecones that they drop. Not to mention that nothing can grow under them so I always just had a "nasty" corner of my yard. In the last 6 months we have had three very large limbs fall in the driveway. Luckily they have missed the cars every time. Well, we got tired of all the hassle and last Monday they started coming down. I never knew how much space was actually over there. Right now the front has been emptied of all wood and debris and the stumps have been ground up. We just need to level that area out. Behind the fence is housing all the rounds of wood. Ryan is going to build us some "houses" for all the split wood and then split all the wood. Having the wood to burn was a factor is taking them down. It will be great in the winter when we use the wood stove to heat the house. When it is all cleaned up, we are going to level it the best we can and grass it. We want to put dwarf fruit trees along the side fence also. Lots of work to be done.

Those trees are huge! I am sure you are grateful they are gone. Way cute blog!

Wow, that does make a difference. Kim worries about our two trees coming down in a wind storm. Keeping fingers crossed that never happens.
