Before and After

We decided to do a little "project" on our house this week. Well, someone else actually "did" the project, we just watched. We have both a wood stove and a fireplace in our house. We have used the wood stove to heat the last 4 years, but it is not put in right and doesn't have the right clearance (we just learned) so our sheetrock walls were getting hot when we had a fire going. That is not good. It has probably been like that for 20 or so years, but I really don't want my house to burn down, so we decided to fix it. Our best option was to use the existing fireplace and have a wood stove insert put in. Then we will be removing the old wood stove completely and only have one wood stove left. Here are the before and after pics of the fireplace.
