Our House

Here are some pics of our home. To start off I have to say that we put some work into this house. It was built in 1979 and not a whole lot had been done to it since. We remodeled the entry way, re-did the entry floors (they were brick), put in all new carpet, scraped the popcorn ceilings, removed wallpaper, then textured, primed and painted every surface of every room. We also did some electrical work adding lighting to the ceilings in the bedrooms and family room. There is a whole bunch more that we did, but it is too much to list. Our other big project was the yard (1/3 acre). That will be for another day.

This is the entry way. It was originally two rooms, one entry and a little office. We made one big entryway. It is now approx 13 feet long and 7 feet wide. I love it.
This is the living room off of the entry. The entryway and livingroom are both sunken rooms, two steps down from the rest of the house. We will soon be getting a new couch for this room so it won't look this way for long.

I call this our den. It is a step up from the living room so they are sort of connected. This is where we exercise and game. We also have our big wood stove in this room. The couch in here is going bye bye also, so we can move some things around.

Here is the kitchen (obviously). This was already done when we moved in so we just had to paint. It is not that big but it does have a lot of cubbords and counter space.

This is the dining room connected to the kitchen. We do not have a formal dining room so this is it. Someday we may expand out to make a bigger dining area. You can see through the door on the right is the den.

This is our familyroom. We hang out in here the most. It is right by the dining room and kitchen.

There is a fireplace in here also but we don't use it. In fact there is a big cement hearth so we put a couch up against it so the kids didn't hurt themselves.

Here is the girls room. There are only three bedrooms in the house and they are all pretty small. The little bedrooms are about 9x10 feet. They are fine for us though. Paige picked the wall color. At the time it was her favorite color. Of course now that has changed to pink.

This is out toy room. We love our toy room! I love having one place I can throw all the toys at the end of the day.

This is the master bedroom. Again, it is small but that works for us.
Well that concludes the tour. It is hard to get a feel for it through pictures but I tried my best.
