His weight gain has slowed a little, I am guessing in part to crawling around and being very active. He is a difficult eater. He does not like solid foods, especially ones with flavor. Occasionally, I can get him to eat a little rice cereal and he does like Cheerios. Most of the time he will gag on the food and then throw up everything he has eaten in the last two hours, including the previous bottle. It is just not worth trying anymore at this point. Maybe when he is a little older. He gags and throws up a lot. There have been times when he has just looked at the bottle and gagged. The doctor is stumped about this. He still sucks his thumb and is very cuddly. I love those times. He is so stinkin' cute, sometimes I don't know what to do with him (like when he bites!). His current problem is a skin rash (not contagious). It is all over his legs, arms, and torso. It is a very patchy, dry, bumpy, red rash. I took him to an allergist, and it's not that (thankfully!). His pediatrician had no idea, so now its on to a dermatologist. We bought some heavy duty skin cream and have been lathering him up a couple times a day and so far so good. We have had a large improvement. We will see how the next few weeks go. He has two bottom teeth and the top two will be through in the next few days. He can sit, crawl and pull up to furniture. He is so interested in everything and is fun to watch.
Side note: on the way home from church today Paige and I had the following conversation:
Paige: Can I stay in my dress today? (for dinner with family)
Me: no, cause we aren't going to Grandpa's house today, we are going to Aunt Tami's.
Paige: What's the difference?
Me: Huh?
I used to be able to give her any excuse and she would just go with it, apparently not anymore!

Sorry to hear about his gagging reflex. Anna has a very strong reflex and can loose whatever she's eaten in the past few hours. It's looking like Sarah Kate gags too. I feel your pain!
He's definitely a big boy - but so dang adorable. I still love to look at his facial expressions. They crack me up!
When you go to the dermatologist, make sure they consider and rule out psoriasis. Kayla had the same patches you described and it took me forever before a dermatologist finally said it was probably psoriasis (it runs in my family).
He's so cute, just like the girls. I can't believe how big they are now, it's been so long since you were in CA. Thanks for the scoop on your kids' heartbeat rates. I was going to do some online research to see what info I might gather! You all look great!
