Puyallup Fair

Today we went to the Puyallup Fair. Thats Pew-all-up. This is my all time favorite fair. This is one of the things I missed the most when we lived in California. I just love this fair. Today was opening day, so we went at opening and got in free (thats the promotion!). We looked at all kinds of farm animals (sheep, goats, pigs, horses, cows and more). In the picture below we were in the outdoor rec building and we got to feel the furs of animals. The girls thought it was great. Brynn really liked it but I'm sure she didn't comprehend that it was fur from dead animals. Ryan's sister Jen and her youngest son Jake came with us. That's him in the back petting the cougar.

Of course they had a fire truck for the kids to get in and check out. I thought it was a great photo opportunity but Paige really was not happy about it.

They also had a petting zoo, of course, so Paige and Jake went. Brynn was with her Grandpa Scott and Grandma Deb who also came to the fair, so she missed it. Below Paige and Jake are demonstrating the "two finger pet" on the baby rabbit.

We also looked at the gizmos for sale and ate...a lot. The one thing we don't do is ride the rides. I figure this will be the last year before Paige realizes that they are there. Maybe next year. To sum it all up....I LOVED it.
