Super Saturday projects

Today was my super Saturday at church. Below are the projects that I did. First is the advent calender that I made. It is really simple. I made it for the girls to have a countdown to Christmas. It is just made on a thin piece of wood with little nails in it. The circles are scrapbook paper. They are two sided. This is the side you will see on Christmas when all of them are turned over. On the other side they are just numbered. For some reason my piece of wood was not square so I have a little sanding to do.

This is approx a 5x5 inch tile. We had the vinyl letters made for us so all we had to do is stick it on. The easal is a fork with the inside prongs bent back and the outside prongs bent forward. I though it was pretty ingenious.

These were easy also. We took a premade wood frame that was painted brown and glued a piece of scrapbook paper to the face of it. Then we embroidered a saying and put it in the frame. This was my first time doing embroidery and I had to do the letters free hand. I think they turned out great. The frames came with a little wooden post that goes in the back so they stand up by themselves.

Those are cute! What great ideas! Your's turned out awesome! I'll have to copy you!:) And I love the cucumber story.:) Paige is so old and darling! Wow! I feel like I need to cut James' hair more often, but do I? No! Fun pictures and stories. And I'm dying to find the 2nd and 3rd Twiligh Series books; I'm glad to know someone else ignored their kids for a few days.:)

Our ward had super saturday and I did't really care for any of the stuff they did. As for the other ward we share our building with, theirs were awesome. It is probably tacky but they said I could join them if I liked.
Paige is a vegtable machine. She also eats tomatoes whole. Love it!
I just finished reading new moon. I am #17 at the library for eclipse! I can't bring myself to buy it dang it. But I am dying to read the next part!
