My baby is ONE!

Today is Cody's first b-day! Of course the year flew by. It always does, doesn't it? Here are some some things about Cody:

1. He loves to get into things: toilets, toilet paper, paper towels, cupboards, anything you can think of.

2. He doesn't like the grass. This makes it very tough to be outside with him. Basically he has to be held the whole time or he is not happy.

3. He is not walking yet. He can walk across a room if he is walking toward you, but will not do it on his own yet. I am waiting patiently, but we are going camping in two weeks and it would be great if he could walk.

4. He loves his crib and has a hard time sleeping anywhere else...like in our bed, a porta crib, your arms, his car seat, you name it. At nap time and bed time he is almost giddy to get into his crib. He just puts himself to sleep. He is sort of sleeping through the night. Most nights he gets up one time to eat and then goes right back to sleep. Not bad.

5. He has thrown up most of his life, pretty much every day. A lot of solid food makes him gag and throw up.

6. He has had a runny nose most of his life.

7. Because of 5 & 6 we think he has a milk allergy. I took him to an allergist months ago because he had a nasty rash and she said it was not an allergy, therefor he was not tested. This last Friday night we switched him to soy milk and no more runny nose or throwing up in the last 4 days! It is time to get him tested to see for sure what the problem is.

8. He can babble momma and dada. He doesn't know what it means, but oh well.

9. He loves his daddy. It would be nice if just one of our kids liked me more, but it hasn't happened yet. The girls say it is because Dad is more fun. That is true.

10. Having a boy is great and I could kiss and love on this boy all day long (if I had nothing else to do, of course).

11. Just yesterday he learned to climb onto the dining room chairs and stand on them and stack blocks. They learn so fast and this one is going to be TROUBLE!

12. He loves the bath, shower, sprinkler (as long as he is being held, of course), pool...anything with water that he can splash in.

13. He still sucks his thumb and likes to cuddle and be sung to. It is super cute and one of the only times he chooses to be with me over Ryan.
