My Dad's a married man!!!

Disclaimer: no pics yet...I was a little busy!

Yesterday my dad and his WONDERFUL fiance Rebecca were sealed in the Seattle Temple. What a great experience that was. I was so strong and didn't cry the entire time...until I hugged my dad. He was so happy and I was so happy for him that I just lost it. A small moment of weakness. The ceremony was at 8:00 pm so we took only a few pictures afterward.

Today was the reception. It was a low key garden reception held in MY Backyard. Ryan and I have spent the last few months getting the yard and house ready. Shelley (sister) and I were in charge of a lot of things. My dad and Rebecca live in Oregon now so it was harder for them to do planning. I gathered tables, chairs, canopys for shade and provided all the sandwich makings. There was also shopping and decorating to do. My sister did the flowers which were so pretty and Aunts and friends helped with food and in the kitchen. We had so much help and I am thankful for all of them. Definitely couldn't have done it alone. I would guess we had about 80 friends and family attend. It was around 90 degrees and I don't have much shade in my yard. We were very lucky to have some clouds roll through but we all were so sweaty by the time we were done. I am just glad it wasn't hotter! I had a lot of fun playing hostess but it was a lot of work. Didn't get to mingle and relax as much as I should have, but it wasn't my day and I was so happy to be able to do this for my dad and Rebecca. I love them both and wish them the best.
